Two weeks ago, I cooked Mexican tacos with my teacher.

Ingredients to make the ground beef (filling) :

1. 1 lb. ground beef
2. 1 medium onion, chopped
3. 1 teaspoon chili powder
4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
5. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6. 12 taco shells
7. 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
8. 2 cups shredded lettuce
9. 2 tomatoes, chopped
10. 1 can of tomato puree

Instructions

1. In a medium pan, fry ground beef and onion over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.

2. Stir in chili powder, salt, garlic powder and a tomato puree. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, place taco shells on a pan heat for 5 minutes.

4. To assemble tacos, layer beef mixture, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes in each taco shell.

This is how my taco looks like and it tastes so yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
